Terms of Service

1. Agreement to terms
By accessing or using the SakuraPay service (“Service”), including the web dashboard, API, and companion application (“App”), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service (“Terms”). If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
The Service is provided by SakuraGroup Ltd (“Company”, “we”, “us”), a company registered in the United Republic of Tanzania.
2. Description of service
SakuraPay is a payment intelligence platform that bridges mobile money transactions from multiple paybill numbers across M-Pesa, Tigo Pesa, Airtel Money, HaloPesa, and CRDB into a single unified dashboard.
SakuraPay is not a bank, payment processor, or mobile money operator. We do not initiate, process, hold, or transfer funds. We provide a read-only reconciliation and analytics layer.
3. Eligibility
- You must be at least 18 years of age.
- You must be a registered business entity or sole proprietor operating lawfully.
- You must have the legal authority to bind your business to these Terms.
- You must own or have authorized access to the paybill numbers connected to the Service.
4. Account registration
You must create an account to use the Service. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your credentials, API keys, and pairing codes. You are responsible for all activity under your account.
You agree to provide accurate, complete, and current information during registration and to update it promptly if it changes.
5. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- Use the Service for any illegal purpose, including money laundering, fraud, or tax evasion.
- Connect paybill numbers that you do not own or are not authorized to monitor.
- Reverse-engineer, decompile, or tamper with the App or API.
- Attempt to circumvent security measures, rate limits, or access controls.
- Share API keys or account access with unauthorized parties.
- Transmit malicious code, viruses, or harmful data through the Service.
6. Subscription & billing
- The Service is offered on a monthly subscription basis with tiered pricing (Starter, Business, Maarufu).
- All prices are in Tanzanian Shillings (TZS) and are exclusive of applicable taxes.
- New accounts receive a 14-day free trial. No payment method is required during the trial.
- After the trial, your subscription will be paused until payment is made. We do not auto-charge.
- Payments are accepted via mobile money (M-Pesa, Tigo Pesa, Airtel Money) and bank transfer.
- We reserve the right to change pricing with 30 days’ notice.
7. Data ownership
You own your data. All transaction data captured by the Service belongs to you. We process it solely to provide the Service.
You may export your transaction data at any time in CSV or JSON format. Upon account closure, you may request a full data export before deletion.
8. Service availability
We target 99.9% uptime for the web dashboard and API. However, the Service is provided “as is” without guarantees of uninterrupted availability.
We may perform scheduled maintenance with reasonable advance notice. Emergency maintenance may occur without prior notice.
9. Intellectual property
The SakuraPay name, logo, dashboard design, API, and companion application are the intellectual property of SakuraGroup Ltd. You may not copy, modify, distribute, or create derivative works without our written permission.
10. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by Tanzanian law:
- SakuraPay shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the Service.
- We are not liable for losses caused by missed, delayed, or incorrectly captured transactions.
- We are not liable for actions taken by mobile money operators, banks, or telecommunications providers.
- Our total liability shall not exceed the amount you paid for the Service in the 12 months preceding the claim.
11. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless SakuraGroup Ltd, its directors, employees, and agents from any claims, losses, or damages arising from your use of the Service, your violation of these Terms, or your violation of any applicable law.
12. Termination
- You may cancel your subscription at any time from your dashboard or by contacting support.
- We may suspend or terminate your account immediately if you violate these Terms.
- Upon termination, your access will be revoked. Data will be retained for 90 days before deletion.
- You may request a data export before or within 30 days after termination.
13. Privacy
Your use of the Service is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which describes how we collect, use, and protect your personal data.
14. Governing law
These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the United Republic of Tanzania. Any disputes shall be resolved in the courts of Dar es Salaam, Tanzania.
15. Changes to these terms
We may modify these Terms at any time. Material changes will be communicated via email or in-app notice at least 14 days before they take effect. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance.
